Suspension for Intramammary Injection
DESCRIPTION:
Oily suspension from light yellow to yellow color with a specific smell.
COMPOSITION :
1 syringe tube (8 g) contains active substances (mg):
Tetracycline hydrochloride – 200;
Neomycin sulphate – 250;
Bacitracin – 2,000 IU;
Prednisolone – 10.
Excipients: – 8 g
PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Mastitube is a combined antimicrobial drug, which includes tetracycline hydrochloride, neomycin sulfate, bacitracin, and prednisone. The drug is active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms – causative agents of mastitis.
Tetracycline hydrochloride has a bacteriostatic effect on Streptococcus uberis, Staphylococcus aureus, E.coli, Klebsiella spp.
Neomycin sulfate is an antibiotic that belongs to the aminoglycoside group and has a bactericidal effect on gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (Staphylococcus aureus, E.coli, Klebsiella spp., Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus spp.).
Bacitracin is a bactericidal antibiotic that acts on gram-positive and some gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus uberis, Streptococcus pyogenes).
Prednisolone is a corticosteroid hormone that has anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, desensitizing, anti exudative, and anti-edematous actions.
APPLICATION:
Treatment of cattle (cows), suffering from clinical, subclinical forms of mastitis of bacterial etiology during lactation.
DOSAGE:
Before injection, the drug into the affected share of the udder carefully wash, milk, and disinfect. After the injection of the drug quarter of breast massage for even distribution throughout the udder. The drug injects 3 times with an interval of 12 hours. Before injection, the syringe tube is heated to a temperature of 35-38°C on a water bath and shake actively until a homogeneous mixture.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not apply the drug in a dry period.
Do not apply to animals with hypersensitivity to the active ingredients of the drug.
PRECAUTIONS:
Milk consumption is allowed after 8 milkings from the last injection.
Received by the deadline milk fed to unproductive animals or utilize (depending on a conclusion of the doctor of veterinary medicine).
Meat consumption is allowed after 14 days from the last injection.
