Injection Suspension

DESCRIPTION:
Sterile Oily suspension, light yellow or light brown color, separating into layers upon storage and resuspending when we shaking it again.
COMPOSITION:
1 ml of product contains active agent:
ceftiofur hydrochloride – 50 mg.
CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY:
Ceftiofur hydrochloride belongs to a group of cephalosporin antibiotics of the third generation and is characterized by a broad spectrum of bactericidal activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (including beta-lactamase-producing strains), as well as against some anaerobic bacteria: Escherichia coli, Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus Somnus, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae,
Haemophilus parasuis, Salmonella cholerasuis, Streptococcus suis, Streptococcus zooepidemicus, Pasteurella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Actynomyces pyogenes, Salmonella typhimurium, Streptococcus agalactiae, S. dysgalactiae, S. Bovis, Klebsiella spp., Citrobacter spp. Enterobacter spp., Bacillus spp., Proteus spp., Fusobacterium necrophorum, Bacteroides melaninogenicus, and others. The mechanism of action of ceftiofur hydrochloride is inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis.
APPLICATION:
Cattle: treatment of respiratory diseases (pneumonia, bronchopneumonia), postpartum endometritis, mastitis, necrobacillosis, arthritis, sepsis, and others, including associated, bacterial infections caused by susceptible to ceftiofur microorganisms.
Pigs: treatment of respiratory diseases and others, including associated infections caused by susceptible to ceftiofur microorganisms.
DOSAGE:
Cattle: (injected as SC) once a day- 1 ml/50 kg BWG (1 mg of ceftiofur hydrochloride per 1 kg BWG).
The course of treatment is:
Respiratory diseases – 3-5 days,
Necrobacillosis – 3 days,
Endometritis – 5 days.
Pigs :(injected as IM), once a day: 1 ml/16 kg BWG (3 mg of ceftiofur hydrochloride per 1 kg BWG) during 3-4 days.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not apply to animals with hypersensitivity to ceftiofur or other beta-lactam antibiotics.
Do not mix the drug with other drugs in the same syringe.
Do not administer to animals with impaired renal function.
Do not use in case of resistance to the cephalosporins or other beta-lactam antibiotics.
Do not injected as IV.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat consumption :
8 days for cattle and 5 days for pigs after the last application of the drug. Milk and Eggs consumption: N/A
Received by the deadline meat fed to unproductive animals or utilize, according to a conclusion of a doctor of veterinary medicine.
PACKAGING:
Glass or polymer flasks, closed with rubber corks under aluminum rolling up of volume 50, and 100 ml.
STORAGE:
Dry dark, place inaccessible to children at a temperature from 5 °C to 25 °C. After the first opening product is usable during the first 28 days.
