Suspension for Intramammary Injection

COMPOSITION :

10 ml contains active substances:

Cloxacillin sodium salt – 300 mg;

Neomycin sulfate – 150 mg;

Sulfatiazol sodium – 500 mg.

PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  1. Composition:
    • Combination of antibiotics neomycin and cloxacillin with sulfonamides.
  2. Action:
    • Provides a wide spectrum of bactericidal action against most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including:
      • Gram-positive: Staphylococcus
      • Gram-negative: E. coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Salmonella, Enterobacter, Serratia, Shigella
      • Others: Mycoplasma
    • Effective in treating mastitis caused by these pathogens.

APPLICATION:

  • Treatment of dairy cows with serous, catarrhal, fibrinous, purulent, or subclinical mastitis.

DOSAGE:

  • Cows:
    • Inject the contents of one syringe tube (10 ml) into the affected udder quarter.
    • Ensure the udder is pre-washed, disinfected, and milked before injection.
    • Heat the tube to 35-38°C in a water bath and shake vigorously to obtain a homogeneous mass.
    • Gently massage the affected quarter from top to bottom to distribute the medication evenly.
    • Repeat injections every evening for 3-5 days, following milking.
  • Sheep and Goats:
    • Inject half the contents of one syringe tube into the affected udder quarter.
    • Follow the same procedure as for cows.
    • Treatment course is 3-5 days.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

  • Hypersensitivity: Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients.

PRECAUTIONS:

  • Milk Handling:
    • During treatment and for 72 hours after the last injection, milk from the affected udder quarter should be separated and recycled.
  • Slaughter:
    • Prohibited during treatment.
    • Meat consumption is allowed 7 days after the last injection.

STORAGE:

  • Conditions: Store in a dry, dark place out of reach of children, at temperatures from 0°C to 25°C.
  • Separation: Keep separate from food, beverages, and animal feed.
