Tablets for Dogs and Cats
COMPOSITION:
1 tablet (0.8 g) contains active ingredients:
praziquantel – 50 mg;
Pyrantel pamoate (embonate) – 150 mg.
DESCRIPTION:
Cylindrical tablets with a flat surface, scored and beveled, ranging from white to yellow color with a specific smell.
PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
- Praziquantel: Active against tapeworms (cestodes and trematodes). It inhibits fumarate reductase synthesis on the membranes of myofibrils and neuromuscular synapses, resulting in paralysis and death of helminths.
- Pyrantel Pamoate (Embonate): Active against roundworms (nematodes). It blocks neuromuscular transmission by depolarization, causing paralysis. Acts like acetylcholine and inhibits cholinesterase.
Effective against:
- Cestodiasis: Echinococcosis, Taeniasis, Dipylidiosis, Diphyllobothriasis.
- Trematodes: Distomiasis (Opisthorchis felineus).
- Nematodosis: Toxocariasis, Toxascaridosis, Trichocephaliasis, Ancylostomiasis, Uncinariasis, Dirofilariasis.
The combination of these components provides a synergistic effect on adult and larval forms of flat and round worms.
APPLICATION:
Therapeutic and prophylactic deworming of dogs and cats with cestodes, trematodes, and nematodes.
DOSAGE:
Administer orally with food or directly to the root of the tongue before feeding. Deworming is recommended quarterly (4 times a year). Puppies and kittens should be dewormed from one month of age.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Do not use the drug in animals during the first half of pregnancy.
PRECUTIONS:
- In some cases, slight diarrhea, hypersalivation, and vomiting may occur, which usually disappear independently.
PACKAGING:
Blister packing of 100 tablets packed in cardboard boxes.
STORAGE:
Store in a dry, dark, and well-ventilated place with a moisture content up to 75% at a temperature from 2°C to 25°C. Keep away from food and animal feed.
