COMPOSITION:

1 ml contains active substances:

kanamycin sulfate – 250 mg.

PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Kanamycin, an antibiotic from the aminoglycosides group, effectively targets both gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms. It acts on a wide range of pathogens including Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., and Staphylococcus aureus by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, inhibiting protein synthesis within bacterial cells.

APPLICATION:

Used to treat septicemia, mastitis, abscesses, phlegmons, respiratory diseases, urogenital system, and skin diseases caused by kanamycin-sensitive microorganisms in cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, dogs, cats, and poultry (chickens, turkeys).

Administered intramuscularly, subcutaneously, or intravenously at the following doses:

  • Cattle and horses: 2 ml per 100 kg of weight once daily
  • Foals and calves: 2 ml per 50 kg of weight once daily
  • Pigs and sheep: 2 ml per 50 kg of weight once daily
  • Dogs and cats: 0.1 ml per 1 kg of weight once daily
  • Poultry (broilers, turkeys): 0.1 ml per 1 kg of weight once daily
    The treatment course typically spans 3 to 5 days.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Avoid use in animals with hypersensitivity to kanamycin or impaired renal function, hearing, or balance.

Do not combine with other aminoglycoside antibiotics, nephrotoxic antibiotics, muscle relaxants, anesthetics, sulfonamides, heparin, B vitamins, or diuretics.

PRECAUTIONS:

Meat and milk consumption is permissible after 6 and 4 days, respectively, following the last application. Utilize or feed meat and milk from treated animals only after consulting a veterinary doctor.

PACKAGING :

Available in glass bottles of 50 and 100 ml.

STORAGE:

Store in a dry, dark, child-proof place at temperatures between 15°C to 25°C.
