COMPOSITION :
1 ml contains: Closantel – 50 mg;
PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Closantel, the active ingredient, is an antiparasitic agent derived from salicylanilide, with prolonged effects on endo- and ectoparasites. It disrupts the phosphorylation process in parasites, interfering with electron transport and altering energy metabolism, ultimately leading to parasite death. Effective against a wide range of parasitic diseases in cattle and small ruminants caused by nematodes, trematodes, and arthropods. Rapidly absorbed after oral or intramuscular administration, reaching peak blood concentrations in sheep after 8-24 hours and in cattle after 24-48 hours, with a half-life of approximately 12-15 days. Mainly concentrated in the lungs and kidneys, metabolized through renewable deionization.
