PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Thanks to a combination of active ingredients this cream has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antibacterial, antifungal actions. Betamethasone dipropionate is a synthetic fluorine-consisting corticosteroid. It has anti-inflammatory, glucocorticoid, antiallergic, antipruritic actions.

In case of external application to narrows blood vessels, it eliminates itching, slows excretion of inflammatory mediators (eosinophils, mast cells), interleukins 1 and 2, γ-interferon (from lymphocytes and macrophages), inhibits the activity of hyaluronidase, and reduces the permeability of vessel walls.

Clotrimazole belongs to the group of imidazole antifungal drugs. Increases the permeability of the phospholipid membrane of liposomes, vacuolization of cytoplasm, reduction of the number of ribosomes. Clotrimazole is active in relation to Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum sapis, Candida alvicans, Malassezia furfur (Pityrosporum orbiculare).

Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic of the aminoglycoside group that acts bactericidal on gram-negative bacteria: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Aerobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, Proteus Vulgaris, Klebsiella pneumonia; gram-positive bacteria: Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus aureus.

In the case of cutaneous application of the drug Beclogen Cream in therapeutic doses, transdermal absorption of active substances in the blood is very low. Application of occlusive bandages significantly enhances transdermal absorption of gentamicin and betamethasone, which can lead to an increase in the risk of systemic side effects
