KPI-GENTAMIX

<<PREVIOUS || NEXT>>

COMPOSITION :

Each ml contains:
Amoxicillin……….. 150 mg

Gentamycin sulfate………..40 mg

The synergistic combination of amoxicillin and gentamicin targets a broad spectrum of bacterial infections in cattle and swine, including both Gram-positive (e.g. Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Corynebacterium spp.) and Gram-negative (e.g. E.coli, Pasteurella, Salmonella, and Pseudomonas spp.) bacteria. Amoxicillin disrupts the cross-linkage between peptidoglycan polymer chains in Gram-positive bacteria, while gentamicin binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit, halting protein synthesis. Biogenta is primarily excreted unchanged via urine, with minor excretion via milk.

Effective against gastrointestinal, respiratory, and intramammary infections in cattle caused by bacteria susceptible to amoxicillin and gentamicin combination, including pneumonia, diarrhea, bacterial enteritis, mastitis, metritis, and cutaneous abscesses.
