DESCRIPTION:

KPI-Heat Stress Relief Oral is a refreshing, rehydrating, and stress-relieving solution for poultry. It helps reduce mortality and productivity losses in animals suffering from heat stress due to high ambient temperatures and high relative humidity.

Betaine prevents dehydration by retaining water in the mucosal cells of the gut wall, reducing water loss in feces and improving fecal consistency. This enhances nutrient absorption. Vitamin C alleviates symptoms and health problems associated with heat stress. Heat-stressed hens often have decreased magnesium blood concentrations, necessitating extra magnesium for normal energy metabolism and prevention of weight loss. Heat stress also depletes sodium and potassium levels, disrupting the acid-base balance. Supplementing feed or water with electrolyte salts (containing potassium, calcium, chloride, and sodium) helps restore this balance.

BENEFITS:

  • Relieves symptoms and health problems associated with heat stress.
  • Reduces mortality rates and productivity losses induced by heat stress.
  • Stimulates recovery from dehydration.
  • Easy administration through drinking water.

DOSAGE:

For oral administration through drinking water.

  • Poultry:
    • Prevention: 1 liter per 1000 liters of drinking water for 3–5 days, starting 2 days before the onset of the hot period.
    • Control: 1 liter per 500 liters of drinking water for 3–5 days.

KPI-Heat Stress Relief Oral may be continued if heat stress persists. A fresh solution should be prepared at least every 24 hours.
