COMPOSITION
Each g contains:
Amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) …………… 500 mg
Excipients ad ……………………………………………… 1 g
INDICATIONS
For the treatment of salmonellosis and pasteurellosis in pigs, and for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria susceptible to amoxicillin in chickens, turkeys, and ducks.
Not effective against beta‑lactamase–producing organisms.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
Pigs:
For oral administration via drinking water or liquid feed.
Administer a daily dose equivalent to 20 mg amoxicillin per kg body weight for up to 5 days.
The solution should be prepared using fresh potable water.
Chickens, turkeys, and ducks:
Administer via drinking water.
Prepare the solution immediately before use using fresh tap water.
Recommended dosage: 15–20 mg amoxicillin trihydrate per kg body weight daily for 3–5 days.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not administer to rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, or guinea pigs.
Do not use in birds producing eggs intended for human consumption.
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to amoxicillin.
SIDE EFFECTS
Hypersensitivity reactions may occur.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat and offal:
Pigs: 2 days
Chickens: 1 day
Turkeys: 5 days
Ducks: 9 days
Not for use in poultry producing eggs for human consumption.
STORAGE
Store below 30 °C. Protect from light.
SHELF LIFE
36 months.
