Ingredients: Each 1 ml contain:
- Amoxycillin trihydrate: 140 mg/mL
- Clavulanate potassium: 35 mg/mL
- Excipient up to 1 ml
KPI-CLAV (Amoxycillin trihydrate/Clavulanate potassium) is an injectable suspension composed of the broad-spectrum antibiotic Amoxycillin trihydrate and the β-lactamase inhibitor, Clavulanate potassium.
Indications:
KPI-CLAV is specially formulated for the treatment of bovine mastitis.
- Cattle: Respiratory infections, soft tissue infections (joint/navel ill, abscesses, etc.), mastitis-metritis-agalactia (MMA).
- Dog, cat: Skin and soft tissue infections such as wounds, abscesses, cellulitis, deep pyoderma, urinary tract infections (cystitis), periodontal infections, canine periodontal disease.
- Poultry: For the treatment of respiratory and digestive diseases such as pneumonia, mycoplasma, diarrhea.
Dosage and Administration:
- Intramuscular injection.
- General dose for camels, cattle, goats, sheep, dogs, cats, and poultry: 1 mL per 20 kg body weight.
- This dosage can be repeated after 48 hours if necessary.
- Or can be used at doses as follows:
- Cattle, camel, goat, sheep: 1 mL/15-20 kg body weight.
- Poultry, dog, cat: 1 mL/15 kg body weight.
Note: Shake the vial well before use.
Withdrawal Period:
- For meat: Cattle: 14 days, Poultry: 14 days
- For milk: 4 days
Contraindications:
- The use of this drug is contraindicated in animals with a history of allergic reactions to any of the penicillin’s or cephalosporins.
Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place at room temperature, out of direct sunlight.
Packaging: Box of 100 ml bottle.
