1 Syringe tube (10g) contains active substance (mg): <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cephalexin monohydrate \u2013 350; <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gentamicin sulfate \u2013 100. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Excipients: alcohol \u2013 up to 10 g.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS:<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Composition:<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • Cephalexin Monohydrate<\/strong> and Gentamicin Sulfate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Action:<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • Cephalexin:<\/strong> A cephalosporin antibiotic effective against gram-positive bacteria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Gentamicin:<\/strong> An aminoglycoside antibiotic effective against gram-negative bacteria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Together, they target a broad range of bacteria, including:\n
          \n
        • Gram-positive:<\/strong> Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Gram-negative:<\/strong> E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          APPLICATION:<\/span><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          • Indication:\n
              \n
            • Treatment of acute, subacute, clinical, subclinical, chronic, and non-specific forms of infectious mastitis in cattle (cows), sheep, and goats.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Effective during lactation for infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to the drug’s components.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              DOSAGE:<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                \n
              • Cows:<\/strong>\n
                  \n
                • Inject the contents of one syringe tube (10 g) into the affected udder quarter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Ensure the udder is pre-washed, disinfected, and milked before injection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • After injection, gently massage the udder from top to bottom for even distribution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Reapply every 12-24 hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Sheep and Goats:<\/strong>\n
                    \n
                  • Inject half of one syringe tube into the affected udder quarter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Follow the same procedure as for cows.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Treatment course is 3-5 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Preparation:<\/strong>\n
                      \n
                    • Heat the syringe tube to 35-38\u00b0C in a water bath and shake vigorously to ensure a homogeneous mass before injection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                      CONTRAINDICATIONS<\/strong>:<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                        \n
                      • Hypersensitivity:<\/strong> Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to cephalexin or gentamicin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                        PRECAUTIONS:<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \n
                        • Side Effects:<\/strong>\n
                            \n
                          • Possible redness at the injection site.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          • Risk of kidney failure in cases of pre-existing kidney disease or prolonged use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          • Milk Use:<\/strong>\n
                              \n
                            • Milk from treated animals can be used for human consumption only after 4 days from the last application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                            • Milk before this period should be discarded or fed to unproductive animals based on veterinary advice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
