COMPOSITION<\/mark><\/strong>

Imidocarb dipropionate …………………………………….. 120 mg
Solvents ad ……………………………………………………. 1 ml<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION<\/mark><\/strong>
Imidocarb is a diamidine compound of the carbanilide series with antiprotozoal activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

INDICATIONS<\/mark><\/strong>
Indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of babesiosis in cattle; for the treatment of babesiosis and anaplasmosis in sheep; for the treatment of babesiosis in horses and dogs; and for the treatment of anaplasmosis in cattle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE<\/mark><\/strong>
For parenteral administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cattle and calves:<\/em>
Babesiosis \u2013 Treatment:
\u2022 1.0 ml per 100 kg body weight, subcutaneously<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Babesiosis \u2013 Prevention:
\u2022 2.5 ml per 100 kg body weight, subcutaneously, one month before exposure<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anaplasmosis \u2013 Treatment:
\u2022 2.5 ml per 100 kg body weight, subcutaneously<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elimination of carrier state:
\u2022 4.0 ml per 100 kg body weight, subcutaneously, administered twice with a 14\u2011day interval<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Horses:<\/em>
\u2022 Babesia caballi:<\/em> 2.0 ml per 100 kg body weight IM once daily for 2 consecutive days
\u2022 Babesia equi:<\/em> 3.5 ml per 100 kg body weight administered 4 times at 72\u2011hour intervals<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheep:<\/em>
\u2022 1.0 ml per 100 kg body weight IM<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dogs:<\/em>
\u2022 0.5 ml per 10 kg body weight SC or IM<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Repeat the dose after 2 weeks<\/strong> if required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONTRAINDICATIONS<\/mark><\/strong>
Do not administer to animals exposed to cholinesterase\u2011inhibiting pesticides.
Do not administer intravenously.
Do not use in ewes producing milk for human consumption.
Do not use in animals with impaired renal or hepatic function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SIDE EFFECTS<\/mark><\/strong>
Pain at the injection site and mild cholinergic signs (salivation, vomiting, nasal discharge) may occur.
These effects may be alleviated with atropine if required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD<\/mark><\/strong>
Meat: 90 days
Milk: 21 days<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STORAGE<\/mark><\/strong>
