300 mg contains active substances:
Megestrol acetate \u2013 5 mg; <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional ingredients: powdered sugar, calcium carbonate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, polyvinylpyrrolidone, flavor, magnesium stearate, sucram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cylindrical tablets with a flat surface, scored and beveled, white or light gray color with specific smell and marbling (inclusions) allowed on the surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS: <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Megestrol acetate is a synthetic progestogen that affects the hypothalamic-pituitary system and blocks the secretion of gonadotrophins (follicle-stimulating and luteinizing hormones). This results in delayed follicle maturation in females and blocked testosterone synthesis in males, terminating estrus and sexual attraction. The drug has two main actions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Anty-gonadotrophic activity:<\/strong> Inhibits gonadotropin secretion and delays ovulation, delaying estrus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Progestogen action:<\/strong> Directly affects the endometrium of the uterus, activating the secretory phase and slowing embryo implantation, enhancing contraceptive properties.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    APPLICATION:<\/strong> <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Orally for dogs and cats to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Prevent or terminate estrus in females<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Prevent unwanted pregnancy in females<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Suppress libido in males<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      DOSAGE <\/span>& ADMINISTRATION<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Administer orally with food or directly to the root of the tongue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Female Cats:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      • Prevention of estrus:<\/strong> 1 tablet daily for 10-14 days. Estrus occurs within 14 days after discontinuation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • To stop estrus:<\/strong> 1 tablet daily for 3-5 days from signs of sexual arousal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Contraceptive:<\/strong> 3 tablets within one day after mating.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Female Dogs:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Prevention of estrus:<\/strong> 1 tablet per 10 kg body weight every 14 days. Estrus occurs within 21 days after discontinuation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • To stop estrus:<\/strong> 1 tablet per 10 kg body weight daily for 7 days from signs of sexual arousal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Contraceptive:<\/strong> 2 tablets per 5 kg body weight daily for 2 days after mating.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Male Cats:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • Sedation during sexual arousal:<\/strong> 1 tablet daily for 3-5 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            Male Dogs:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            • Sedation during sexual arousal:<\/strong> 1 tablet per 10 kg body weight daily for 5 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              CONTRAINDICATION :<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              • Do not use in animals with genitourinary system diseases, tumors, immature, pregnant, or lactating animals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Do not use after the onset of estrus for more than 3 days or in young animals during their first estrus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                PRECAUTIONS: <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                • Prolonged use may alter behavior, development of breasts, increase appetite, and associated weight gain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
