Thiamine aids in breaking down pyruvic and lactic acid, crucial for hard-working muscles, and acts as a coenzyme in glucose breakdown for energy. Increased Thiamine demand occurs when carbohydrates are the primary energy source or with dietary glucose supplementation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thiamine, along with Vitamin B6, plays a key role in protein and amino acid metabolism, affecting various tissues, notably nerves, stomach, and heart. As free Thiamine isn&#8217;t stored, it&#8217;s readily absorbed from the intestine, blood, or injection sites. Regular supplementation, particularly for hard-working animals, compensates for potentially insufficient dietary intake. Cooking can diminish Thiamine content, and high doses may calm nervous or overexcitable horses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-accent-2-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-184ed9804de8bfd10694f2ad4bf4855b\"><strong>NOTES:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Large doses of Vitamin B1 have a calming effect on animals and can help alleviate anxiety before potentially stressful situations.
